Just got me some bullseye beef jerky smokey but its not this color:

It's this color:

Probably fine. Darker color probably relates to a different extent of additives absorbed. I tend to see jerky more often looking like the latter picture than the former - I think some brands even have caramel color as an ingredient.

I have no idea how a american jerky should look, but that looks pretty much like any elk jerky or reindeer jerky we have here in Norway.

Can i order some elk or reindeer jerky online, i'm from Denmark and would love to try some, or is there some kind of export ban?

No export ban, might be an import ban though. have no idea if you can order some online, I've only found it in some shops here in Norway and a few in Sweden.. But jerky keeps quite okay at roomtemperature though, so I could always send you some.

We tossed it when we found it. Granted, judging by the amount of mold, it had been there for quite some time.
